Jeezy’s Juke Joint is proud to present a variety of workshops taught by our award winning cast members as apart of our 8th Annual Weekender.

10:30 am – 11:30 am | Missa Blue | Burlesque Business – Manage yourself to the top! |$15

You want to turn up confident and prepared at every gig?  Missa teaches you everything you need to know behind the scenes: From the secret of being an enchanting backstage buddy over how to prep and conduct your tech & light rehearsal ending with do and dont’s during showtime. In the second part of the workshop MisSa gives deeper insights about building an appealing online presence and what social media can do for you.

11:45 am – 12:45 pm | Lou Lou la Duchesse de Rière | The Getdown | $15

The getdown (advanced floorwork): Learn the art of the get down with Lou Lou la Duchesse de Rière in her floorwork master class. Perfect your dips dives and shoulder rolls while learning a fun sexy choreography. Bring knees pads if needed, they are not required.

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm | Foxy Tann| The Good Emcee | $15

This is a class is a conversation about what makes a good burlesque emcee. With over 20 years of emceeing and hosting in cabarets, burlesque and drag shows, block parties and circuses, Foxy Tann has made a few observations. If you are an aspiring host and emcee this is what The Fox considers the bare minimum that you need to do/know to steer a successful show. From stalling and hecklers to tech f*ck ups and costume malfunctions, you will learn some basic strategies to deal with disasters large and small.


2:15 pm – 3:15 pm | Controlled Chaos w/ Isaiah Esquire: ALL LEVELS | $15

​An ALL-LEVELS class geared towards expanding your movement and elongating your lines with controlled strength and power. Internationally acclaimed Dancer/Choreographer/Performer, Isaiah Esquire specializes in commanding space and channeling energy on stage. Isaiah will be focusing on body awareness, momentum, and breathe and how to create more control on stage. Participants will be taught choreography that encourages the performer to practice musicality while performing and moving in exciting new ways.

​3:30 pm – 4:30 pm | Red Bone | PWYC Burlesque Crash Course

This Pay What You Can Burlesque Crash Course, taught by 2017 Burlesque Hall of Fame competitor RedBone, is sure to leave both the curious and the experienced participant sizzling with confidence. This workshop will begin with a warm and will move on to cover everything from bumps and grinds to shimmying and struts. All Levels are Welcome.

Please bring: Water, towel, knee pads (highly suggested. Will have them available for sale) and dance heels. Attire: wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move and stretch in.
