Jeezy’s Juke Joint is proud to present a variety of workshops taught by Juke Joint cast members as apart of our 7th Annual Weekender. 

12-1 | Sparkle Town 101 with Looking Glass Gems | $15

Learn the basics of rhinestones, and begin your journey into the vast world of stage sparkle!
We will be giving industry informations regarding different types and qualities of rhinestones, tools, glues and techniques.
We’ll discuss color matching and pattern making. Bring an item to place rhinestones on! We will provide glue and 1 gross of rhinestones to work with. If you like, please feel free to bring your preferred rhinestone and NON-TOXIC glue as well. No E-6000 please, thank you for your understanding.

1:15-2:15 | Red Bone | Art of Freestyle | $15

Anyone can achieve freestyling, in fact you already do it every day! When it comes to dancing, The key is confidence in your movement and trusting that you are fabulous. We will practice relying on what you have in your movement arsenal and letting the music, people, and surrounding vibes inspire you at any given moment. We will also play with timing, space and energy to create an even more over the top, dynamic performance. This class is designed for all levels of dance experience focusing on Cabaret/Burlesque inspired movements and will consist of a warm up, movement drills & exercises, choreographic elements, freestyle period and cool down.

Be prepared with:
note book
dance heels
knee pads
water
optional-video camera (you may want to record your movement ideas and use them for choreography later on.)

2:30-3:30 | The Art of Seduction | $15

Learn the Art of Entrancement by building anticipation through sexy, sensual and exotic movement. This class is for the Naughty Girl not the Faint of Heart. (Lap dancing, Wall playing, floor work) Bring heels and an open mind.

3:45-5 | In Conversation with Miss Toni Elling | $15

Jeezy’s Juke Joint founder and host, Jeez Loueez sits down with Burlesque Legend Miss Toni Elling for a conversation on burlesque, race, career and everything in between.
